Staffing Agencies 101
We help to connect
A good staffing agency helps connect first class employers with outstanding candidates that they might not normally meet.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Why do people temp?
There are many reasons that people take temporary employment: to fill gaps in their resumes or, because they are acting or writing and want to have a steady or flexible day job. However, most people temp or use staffing agencies because we provide them with direct access to positions at distinguished companies and law firms. With our agency, you also get a committed placement counselor who is dedicated to your success and can answer questions at any time.
What is a temporary position?
A temporary position is a position in which you work contractually with our clients for an indeterminate length of time. While a temporary employee, your compensation comes from the Aldan Troy Group, though you are working for one of our clients. Occasionally, these long term temporary positions can lead to being hired by the client directly.
How long does a temporary position last?
Though temping is perceived as being only for short term positions, we also staff long term positions and everything in between. Our assignments can last anywhere from 1 day to 3 years.
Do you place permanent positions, as well?
Though most of our positions are temporary, we also offer permanent positions, and temp-to-hire positions.
What is a temp-to-hire position?
A temp-to-hire position is one in which you are our employee for a probationary period of about 3 months and, based on performance, are likely hired by the client.
Will this look good on my resume?
A temporary position looks the same as a permanent position on a resume. The only difference can be the amount of time a position lasts and that you are technically employed by the Aldan Troy Group during this period. Contact your placement counselor for tips on how to correctly format this on your resume.
